NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - David Legwand, Martin Erat, Yanic Perreault and Scott Walker each had a goal and an assist Sunday as the Nashville Predators beat the Carolina Hurricanes 4-2.
Perreault scored an empty net goal at 18:38 on a breakaway, and Walker earned the assist.
Walker gave Nashville a 3-2 advantage at 7:36 of the third period on the power play with a wrist shot from the left side past Carolina goaltender Martin Gerber.
Erat tied the game 2-2 at 4:12 of the third period when he took a drop pass from Legwand and went top shelf over the right shoulder of Gerber.
In the second period, Carolina found the net on the power play at 9:57 as centre Josef Vasicek battled through traffic in front of the net to beat Chris Mason from close range.
Carolina, aided by six power-play chances including a 5-on-3 for 1:10, peppered Mason with 19 shots in the first period.
The Hurricanes scored first when left winger Erik Cole popped in a wrist shot that beat Mason to his glove side at 16:57 of the opening period. At the 18:53 mark of the first period the Predators tied the score when centre Legwand scored on a wrist shot.
Mason started in goal for Nashville, facing 29 shots and making 27 saves.
Nashville's Jamie Allison was carried from the ice on a stretcher after colliding with Cole, flipping over Vokoun and hitting the back of his neck against the right goal post.
