LOS ANGELES - Junior hockey phenom John Tavares has found a new agent.
He's signed on with Los Angeles-based Creative Artists Agency a little over a month after splitting ties with Bryan Deasley.
"John has a bright future," said CAA agent Pat Brisson. "CAA Hockey is looking forward to working with him and his family and providing them with all of our resourses."
Tavares is expected to be among the top picks in the 2009 NHL draft. He had 40 goals and 78 assists in 59 games for the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League this season.
CAA currently represents other young players such as Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews.
