After being put on waivers last week, Los Angeles Kings goaltender Dan Cloutier may not be an unrestricted free agent this summer after all.

Cloutier was expected to be bought out over the weekend but, according to CKNW Radio in Vancouver, a source is claiming that if the former Canucks goalie is injured, the team cannot complete the move.

Cloutier suffered through knee and hip injuries over the course of the regular season and the source told the radio station he is not 100% healthy.

The report indicates that doctors will now decide upon Cloutier's status of health. He will undergo a medical soon and should doctors feel he is not healthy, the Kings would be forced to pay him his $3 million salary for the upcoming season.

If he is deemed healthy, his contract will be bought out for $2 million over the next two years and he would become an unrestricted free agent.
