Anaheim, CA - The Anaheim Ducks announced Wednesday that they have extended a qualifying contract offer to restricted free-agent right winger Corey Perry.

The 23-year-old Perry tallied 29 goals and 54 points in 70 games last season. Perry was Anaheim's first-round choice (28th overall) in the 2003 draft and helped the Ducks capture the Stanley Cup in 2007.

In addition, forwards Stephen Dixon, Jason King, Geoff Platt and Drew Miller received qualifying offers.

Forward Shane Hynes and goaltender Gerald Coleman did not receive offers and will become free agents on July 1.

The Ducks also announced that they have inked center Brian Sutherby to a one-year contract extension. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Acquired from Washington on November 19, 2007 in exchange for Anaheim's second-round pick in the 2009 draft, Sutherby registered one goal and one assist in 50 games with the Capitals and Ducks last season.

The Edmonton, Alberta native has 26 goals and 62 points in 304 career games over six seasons with the Capitals and Ducks.

Washington selected Sutherby in the first round (26th overall) of the 2000 draft.
