The Phoenix Coyotes added some depth to their blueline, signing defenceman Kurt Sauer to a four-year contract worth $1.75 million a season. The team also signed forward Todd Fedoruk to a three-year, $3.175 million contract.

Sauer, 27, had one goal and six points and a plus-17 rating in 54 games last season. He missed 28 games because of a neck injury. In 288 career NHL games, the blueliner has four goals and 26 points.

Fedoruk, 29, split last season between the Minnesota Wild and the Dallas Stars, tallying 13 points and 139 PIM.
