Unrestricted free agent forward Shean Donovan is staying in Ottawa after signing a two-year contract.
Terms of the deal were not released.
The 33-year old forward played in all 82 of the Senators' games in 2007-08 posting five goals and seven assists.
The Timmons, Ontario native has played in 856 career NHL games and has recorded 105 goals and 121 assists.
Donovan enjoyed his best offensive NHL season with Calgary in 2003-04 when he recorded career season highs of 18 goals and 24 assists for 42 points.
