Canucks sign Jason Krog to one-year deal

The Vancouver Canucks acquired depth up front Monday by signing centre Jason Krog. Financial terms were not disclosed but TSN has learned it is a one-year, one-way contract.

Krog, 32, spent the 2007-08 season with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL, recording 112 points (39-73-112) and 30 penalty minutes in 80 games played. During the playoffs, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound centre tallied another 36 points (10-26-36) and two penalty minutes in 24 games played in helping the Wolves win the 2008 AHL Calder Cup.

In 198 career NHL games the Fernie, B.C. native has recorded 21 goals, 37 assists (21-37-58) and 44 penalty minutes. He has also played in 21 career playoff games, registering four points (3-1-4).
