Hockey Canada President Bob Nicholson met with NHLPA Executive Director Paul Kelly and Director of Player Affairs, Glenn Healy in Calgary today.
Nicholson described the meeting as "unbelievable" in terms of the PA's interest in partnering with Hockey Canada to help grow the game internationally.
The discussion included long term planning on the World Cup with the expectation the event will be resurrected in 2011 and continued in 2015.
The two sides also talked about a summer orientation camp for NHL players selected as hopefuls for 2010 Canadian Olympic team.
According to Nicholson, the camp will likely take place near the end of August and although the location remains undetermined, Calgary, the home of Hockey Canada is a strong contender.
