Kings' Zeiler suspended three games for hit on Foote

Los Angeles Kings forward John Zeiler has been suspended for three games without pay for hitting Colorado Avalanche defenceman Adam Foote from behing in a game on Sunday.

Zeiler will forfeit his lost pay to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

Zeiler will miss Tuesday night's game against the Calgary Flames, Wednesday's game in Edmonton against the Oilers and Saturday's game against the Chicago Blackhawks.

He will be eligible to return Dec. 1 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
