(Sports Network) - The Atlanta Thrashers will try for just their second win in eight games when they visit the Montreal Canadiens for tonight's battle at the Bell Centre.  You can catch the game live on TSN starting at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt.  The game is also available in TSNHD.

Reinforcements are on the way for the Canadiens as both Alex Tanguay and Georges Laraque are expected to return to the Habs lineup tonight.  Carey Price will once again get the start in net.

In an attempt to send a message to some of his younger players, coach Guy Carbonneau has made Sergei Kostitsyn, Guillaume Latendresse and Ryan O'Byrne healthy scratches for the game.

The Thrashers have lost six of seven games since tying a franchise record with a five-game winning streak. The club has managed just three points since the hot streak, going 1-5-1 in recent weeks.

Atlanta lost its third straight contest on Sunday afternoon, dropping a 4-2 decision to visiting St. Louis. Keith Tkachuk scored once to notch his 1,000th career point, and help the Blues earn a 4-2 victory at Philips Arena.

Colby Armstrong and Niclas Havelid tallied for the Thrashers, while Ondrej Pavelec faced 46 shots and stopped 43 in the loss.

Atlanta defenseman Mathieu Schneider suffered an upper-body injury in the loss and is questionable for tonight's contest.

Tonight marks the opening test of three-game road trip for the Thrashers, who are just 3-6-2 as the visiting team this season.

Montreal, meanwhile, will play the second portion of a season-long seven-game homestand this evening. The Habs won the opener of the residency this past Saturday against Buffalo and ended a three-game home losing streak in the process.

Andrei Kostitsyn scored and added an assist while Andrei Markov netted the eventual game-winner in the second period as the Habs notched a 3-2 decision over the Sabres.

Steve Begin also scored while Carey Price recorded 26 saves for Montreal, which had dropped three of four overall heading into Saturday's contest.

The Canadiens are 6-2-2 as the home team this year and will next host the New York Rangers on Thursday.

Montreal has won two straight and five of the last eight encounters with the Thrashers and Atlanta has dropped three of four and four of its previous six tests at the Bell Centre.

Round 2 continues with Toronto's Joffrey Lupul taking on Jake Allen of the St. Louis Blues.
