Penguins centre Maxime Talbot has signed a two-year extension with the team.

The extension will see Talbot earn $1,050,000 per season.

"He has shown his versatility and plays in all situations for our hockey club," explained general manager Ray Shero on Friday. "He played an integral role in helping our team reach the Finals last season and we look forward to having him for the coming years."

The 24-year-old has 4 goals, 3 assists and 18 PIM in 28 games so far this season.
