St. Paul, MN (Sports Network) - The Minnesota Wild placed right winger Owen Nolan on injured reserve with a leg injury on Friday.

Nolan, 36, has five goals and five assists in 17 games with the Wild this season, his first with the club.

To take his spot on the roster, Minnesota recalled center Krys Kolanos from Houston of the American Hockey League.

Kolanos has one goal in two games for Minnesota this season.
