Jackets' Leclaire to have ankle surgery; out 10-12 weeks

COLUMBUS, Ohio. - Goalie Pascal Leclaire of the Columbus Blue Jackets will undergo ankle surgery and is expected to be sidelined 10-to-12 weeks, the NHL club announced Tuesday.

Leclaire's operation is scheduled for Friday.

Leclaire, 26, has appeared in 12 games this season, posting a 4-6-1 record with a 3.83 goals-against average and .867 save percentage. He last suited up for a game Dec. 18 at Dallas.

Leclaire, the Blue Jackets' first pick, eighth overall, in the 2001 Entry Draft, has posted a 45-55-12 record with a 2.82 GAA, .907 save percentage and 10 shutouts in 125 career games with the club. Last season, he has a 24-17-6 record, 2.25 GAA, .919 save percentage and nine shutouts in 54 games.
