New York, NY (Sports Network) - New Jersey Devils forward Jamie Langenbrunner, centre Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals defenceman Mike Green have been named the NHL's Three Stars for the week ending February 1.

Langenbrunner earned the top honour after leading the league in goals last week with six. He has posted three straight two-goal outings, getting credited with a game-winning tally in each contest. Langenbrunner also added an assist in helping the Atlantic Division-leading Devils run their current winning streak to eight games. The winger is fourth on New Jersey with 41 points on the season.

While Langenbrunner was tops last week in goals, Crosby led all skaters with eight points off three goals and five assists to earn the second star. The former Hart Trophy winner began last week with a four-point performance in a win over the New York Rangers on Wednesday, notching a goal and three assists. He then had a goal and an assist in an overtime loss to the Devils on Friday and duplicated that statistical performance the following day in a loss to Toronto. Crosby is second in the NHL in assists (48) and points (68) this year, trailing teammate Evgeni Malkin in both categories.

Rounding out the weekly honor, Green posted three goals and four assists in helping Washington go 2-0-1 last week. After notching a goal in an overtime loss to Boston on Tuesday, the defenceman had a goal and an assist in Saturday's win over Detroit. Green capped his excellent week with a goal and three helpers in a win over Ottawa on Sunday for the leaders of the Southeast Division.
