Derek Morris remains in a holding pattern as the Phoenix Coyotes continue to work at finding the veteran defenceman a new home.

Sources say the Coyotes are trying to settle on offers for Morris that are constantly changing.

Morris is skating on his own today at a team arranged facility.

Rather than play and potentially risk injury, Morris will likely sit out until the Coyotes work out a deal. The Edmonton native was not in Saturday's lineup when the team lost 3-1 to the Blues.

Morris, 30, will be an unrestricted free agent in the summer.
