Leafs acquire Kolzig, Heward, Rogers from Lightning

Brian Burke's busy day continued just as the window of the NHL Trade deadline slammed shut as the Maple Leafs acquired goaltender Olaf Kolzig, defencemen Jamie Heward and Andy Rogers and a fourth-round pick in 2009 in exchange for a prospect Richard Petiot.

The 4th round pick the Leafs acquired in the deal is the pick the Lightning received in the Jussi Jokinen trade with Carolina.

The 26-year old Petiot has three goals, 14 assists in 45 games with Toronto Marlies of the AHL this season

The 38-year old Kolzig, who is sidelined for the remainder of the season with an arm injury, will become an unrestricted free agent this summer.  He played only eight games this season with the Lightning, posting a 2-4-1 record with an .898 save percentage.

Heward has two assists in 13 games this season.  He is also sidelined indefinitely with a concussion.

Rogers has spent the entire season with Norfolk of the AHL.
