Despite the fact that the NHL's Trade Deadline is in the rear view mirror, Maple Leafs general manager Brian Burke remained busy Thursday by signing free agent forward Jeff Hamilton.

The 31-year old Hamilton had been playing with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.  In 50 games he has 16 goals and 37 assists.

The Englewood, Ohio native has 142 games of NHL experience split between the Hurricanes, Blackhawks and Islanders.

He will likely be in the lineup tonight when the Leafs face the Washington Capitals.
