The Boston Bruins signed goaltender Tim Thomas to a multi-year extension on Friday.
While financial terms were not released, the Boston Globe is reporting it's a four-year worth $20 million.
The team has scheduled a news conference for Saturday at the TD Banknorth Garden before their matinee against the New York Rangers.
Thomas, who played in his second career NHL All-Star Game this past January, is currently the league leader in both goals against average (2.11) and save percentage (.932).
He established a new career high in wins with 33 and has helped lead the Bruins to their first 50-win season since 1992-93.
