Maggie the Macaque has not had a great playoff run thus far in 2009, but Canada's favourite predicting primate has high hopes for her picks in the Conference Finals.

Maggie sits at 4-8 after the first two rounds and on Friday spun the wheel to determine her selections for the Detroit Red Wings-Chicago Blackhawks Western Final and Pittsburgh Penguins-Carolina Hurricanes Eastern Final.

Catch the first two games of each Conference Final on TSN and TSN HD, starting Sunday with Game 1 between the Red Wings and Blackhawks at 2:30pm et/11:30am pt.

Last season, Sidney Crosby and the Penguins took on Nicklas Lidstrom and the Red Wings for the Stanley Cup, with the Wings coming away with the win. Maggie's wheel has ruled out a rematch in 2009.

In the West, Maggie is going with Patrick Kane and the exciting young Blackhawks to knock the defending Stanley Cup Champion Red Wings from the playoffs.

Maggie also believes last season's Eastern Conference champs will not make it back to the Cup Final, either. The wheel indicated Cam Ward and the Hurricanes will advance to the final by eliminating Crosby's Penguins. Maggie correctly picked the 'Canes to defeat the Boston Bruins in the last round.

This will be Maggie's final season selecting playoff winners as she will retire upon the completion of the post-season. She started her run in 2003 and famously picked the Anaheim Ducks to make it to the Stanley Cup Final, landing her national acclaim as Canada's best prognosticating primate.
