PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Penguins are looking at putting scoring winger Petr Sykora back in the lineup for their do-or-die Game 6 of the Stanley Cup final on Tuesday night.
Coach Dan Bylsma said Sykora would take the pre-game warm-up and then a decision would be made on whether he will play.
Sykora, who had 25 goals in the regular season, has dressed for only six playoff games this season, with no goals and only one assist to show for them.
If he plays, Miroslav Satan would be a leading candidate to come out of the lineup.
"Petr's exceptional skill is that he can shoot it in the net," Bylsma said. "That's why he continues to play in this league and why he'll probably continue to play in this league.
"When you get 25 goals a year, you have something. When he gets the puck on his stick he puts it behind the goalie. In a limited role situation, if he were to get the puck on his stick, you would expect him to rip it and have a chance for it to go in. So that's why he would be appealing."
Red Wings coach Mike Babcock expects no changes from the lineup that zapped Pittsburgh 5-0 in Game 5 on Saturday in Detroit.
"The guys were had questions about all skated and felt good," he said.
