Hockey fans celebrate the start of the NHL's free agency period on Canada Day with the third annual NHL on TSN: Free Agent Frenzy special, airing Wednesday, July 1 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. ET on TSN2 and from to 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET on TSN. Free Agent Frenzy will also be available on demand at TSN.ca.

On what will be a busy day in sports broadcasting, TSN will keep viewers informed on the latest Free Agents activity with regular SPORTSCENTRE updates throughout its live coverage of Wimbledon (7 am to 5 p.m. ET) and back-to-back CFL games (Toronto @ Hamilton at 7 p.m. ET and Montreal @ Calgary 10 p.m. ET).

Hosted by James Duthie, Free Agent Frenzy features TSN's team of hockey experts and correspondents in each Canadian NHL city, providing news of the day's transactions when the free agent market opens for business at 12 noon ET.

TSN Hockey Insiders Bob McKenzie and Darren Dreger are dialled in at the ‘News Breakers' desk to bring viewers the most up-to-date information on NHL signings. Duthie is joined by TSN hockey analysts Pierre McGuire, Darren Pang and former Tampa Bay Lightning General Manager Jay Feaster on the Instant Analysis panel while Gino Reda will deliver an in-depth look at all of the Free Agents in play. Duthie will also conduct live interviews with players, coaches and GMs from around the league, providing viewers with comprehensive access to instant reaction from the deal-makers and players involved.

Dave Hodge is joined in-studio by a panel from his Sunday morning show, TSN THE REPORTERS WITH DAVE HODGE, as Hodge, along with Michael Farber, Dave Naylor and Chris Stevenson provides additional opinions and analysis on the Free Agent market.

Rod Smith will anchor TSN's special one-hour edition of SportsCentre at 6 p.m. ET, re-capping all of the day's events with extensive reports and reaction from around the NHL.

Augmenting TSN's live coverage of Free Agent Frenzy, TSN.ca will have a free agent tracker providing an updated list of every free agent signing, along with all other transactions made by teams this off-season. In addition, TSN.ca will have highlights, updates and analysis throughout the day featuring TSN, along with free agency preview reports from every Canadian team leading up to Free Agent Frenzy, beginning Saturday. The website will also feature an ‘Off-Season Game Plan' for each NHL team, breaking down each organization's strengths, weaknesses, needs and prospects by position.
