Jay Bouwmeester's camp met with Flames general manager Darryl Sutter on Monday. It was pretty basic and, according to source, no numbers were discussed.
The Flames, however, are expected to make their formal offer of a multi-year deal today.
Bouwmeester played his entire six-year career with the Panthers after being selected third overall by the club in 2002. He had 15 goals and 27 assists in 82 games this season.
The Panthers traded his rights to the Flames on Saturday in exchange for Jordan Leopold and a third round draft pick. Bouwmeester is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at Noon on July 1.
