Lightning sign forward Veilleux to one-year contract

The Tampa Bay Lightning signed forward Stephane Veilleux to a one-year, $750,000 contract on Tuesday.

In the 2008-09 campaign, the Quebec native had 13 goals and 10 assists in 81 games for the Minnesota Wild.

Veilleux has 43 goals and 47 assists in 361 career NHL games, all spent with the Wild.

He was selected by Minnesota in the third round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
