Coyotes trade Lisin to Rangers for Korpikoski

Glendale, AZ (Sports Network) - The Phoenix Coyotes acquired left wing Lauri Korpikoski from the New York Rangers for right wing Enver Lisin on Monday.

The 22-year-old Korpikoski tallied six goals and eight assists in 68 regular season games in his rookie season in 2008-09. He also had a pair of helpers in seven playoff contests for the Rangers.

Korpikoski, a native of Turku, Finland, was picked by the Blueshirts with the 19th overall selection in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

The 23-year-old Lisin, born in Moscow, Russia, was selected in the second round of the 2004 draft (50th overall) by Phoenix and recorded 13 goals and eight assists in 48 contests with the NHL club last season. In 78 career games, he has totaled 18 goals and 10 helpers.
