The Tampa Bay Lightning have sent forward Evgeny Artyukin to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for forward Drew Milller and a third round draft pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

The Lightning gave their fans a heads-up on the deal by posting a teaser on the team's Twitter page earlier in the day.  At approximately 2:30pm eastern the team sent out the following message on http://twitter.com/TBLIGHTNING

“The Lightning are making a trade today. They'll be getting a player and a draft pick in return. More to come....”

A Moscow native, the 25-year old Artyukin led the Bolts with 151 penalty minutes last season.  He also added six goals and 10 assists in 73 games.

The 25-year old Miller, brother to Sabres' goaltender Ryan, had four goals and six assists in 27 games with the Ducks last season.  He helped Anaheim capture the Stanley Cup in 2007.

"In acquiring Drew Miller today, we were able to add a character individual, a versatile with good size and the ability to kill penalties," said Lightning general manager Brian Lawton in a statement. "Drew finished the season nicely in Anaheim a year ago, and he has played well for the Ducks in the postseason over his career."
