It is one of five preseason games, including three Canadian teams on tap Sunday, as the regular season quickly approaches on October 1.
Last night, free agent addition Jaroslav Spacek scored the lone goal for the Canadiens in a 6-1 loss to Alex Kovalev and the Ottawa Senators. For the Bruins, Marc Savard made his preseason debut in a 6-2 loss to the New York Rangers.
In Saskatoon, the Edmonton Oilers take on the New York Islanders at the Credit Union Centre.
Last night at the same rink, the Islanders used a shorthanded goal by Greg Moore late in the third period en route to a 4-2 win over the Calgary Flames. In Vancouver, Sheldon Souray scored the only goal for the Oilers in a 3-1 loss to the Canucks.
After back-to-back emotional games with the Islanders, the Flames return home to face the Florida Panthers. Jamie Lundmark and Kris Chucko replied for the Flames in last night's loss.
