The Columbus Blue Jackets have made a minor league deal, sending winger Pascal Pelletier to the St. Louis Blues in exchange for defenceman Brendan Bell and centre Tomas Kana.

Pelletier, 26, has three goals and 13 assists in 16 games with the AHL's Syracuse Crunch this season. The Newfoundland native played seven games for the Chicago Blackhawks in 2008-09.

26-year-old Bell has four goals and 13 assists with the AHL's Peoria Rivermen so far this campaign. The 6'1, 205-pound blueliner was a third-round pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. (65th overall)

Kana, 22, has six assists in 11 games with the Alaska Aces of the ECHL.
