Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Colorado Avalanche rookie defenseman Ryan Wilson will be out indefinitely with a concussion, the team announced on Wednesday.

Wilson was injured when he was on the receiving end of a hard hit from Oilers forward Jean-Francois Jacques in the first period of Monday's 6-0 victory. The 22-year-old was able to play the remainder of the period but left the game at intermission.

An undrafted free agent, Wilson had compiled two goals and nine assists in 38 games this season for Colorado.
