The Calgary Flames have signed left winger Rene Bourque to a six-year contract, with an average salary of $3.3-million.

The 6-foot-2, 207-pound winger has established a career high with 41 points (18 goals and 23 assists) in 53 games played this season.

He has recorded 156 points in 280 career NHL games and was set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
