Oilers acquire F Marquardt from Bruins for D Wild

The Edmonton Oilers have acquired forward Matt Marquardt from the Boston Bruins in exchange for defenceman Cody Wild.

Marquardt, 22, has appeared in 42 games with the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League this season recording one goal and nine assists.

Marquardt was originally drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 7th round, 194th overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Wild, 22, has split this season between the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League and the Stockton Thunder of the East Coast Hockey League.

The 6'1” 205-pound native of North Providence, Rhode Island was selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the fifth round (140th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
