The Philadelphia Flyers have made a contract offer to potential restricted free-agent defenceman Braydon Coburn.
Coburn said that he was not aware of such an offer, while Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren indicated the offer was made to Coburn's agent, Edmonton-based Gerry Johannson.
"I made a two-year offer to him," Holmgren told the Burlington County Times. "Maybe Braydon and his agent should talk more."
Coburn, 25, is in his fourth season in the NHL. A first round draft pick (8th overall) by the Atlanta Thrashers in 2003, Coburn was traded to the Flyers on Feb. 24, 2007 for Alexei Zhitnik.
