Team Canada's youth movement continues.

Colorado Avalanche forward and Calder trophy nominee Matt Duchene has been added to Canada's roster for the upcoming IIHF World Hockey Championship in Germany.

Duchene will join fellow rookie John Tavares as well as the likes of Steven Stamkos and Olympian Corey Perry on the team.

The 19-year old Duchene enjoyed a solid first season in the NHL, scoring 24 goals and adding 31 assists in 81 games.  The Avalanche were eliminated from the playoffs last week by the San Jose Sharks.

It also appears that Norris trophy nominee Drew Doughty will be joining the team as well, however that has yet to be confirmed.

Canada begins their tournament against Italy on May 8th.
