Injured Philadelphia Flyers forwards Jeff Carter and Ian Laperriere are both making progress in their respective recoveries from injury.

Carter, who had surgery in mid-April for a broken right foot, skated on Monday for 15 minutes.

Barring any setbacks, Carter could reportedly be back later in the Eastern Conference Final against the Montreal Canadiens.

The 25-year old winger scored 33 goals along with 28 assists in 74 games with the Flyers during the regular season.

Laperriere, who took a slap shot in the face in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, that caused a concussion and a brain bruise, was cleared for contact on Monday according to Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren.

Holmgren told the Flyers official website that Laperriere is closer to returning to the lineup than Carter.

The 36-year old tough guy played in all 82 games with the Flyers in the regular season and scored 3 goals, 17 assists with 162 penalty minutes.
