Though the Philadelphia Flyers' official Twitter account announced that Michael Leighton will be the starting goalie for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final, head coach Peter Laviolette declined to officially announce his starter.

The Flyers mistakenly put out the announcement after Laviolette spoke to the media on Tuesday afternoon. The Tweet has since been removed.

While the coach opted not to name his goalie to the media, he then stated:  "Our goaltender has the best numbers in the playoffs, I didn't think I'd have to announce it."

Leighton has started every game for the Flyers since Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals when Boucher got injured versus the Bruins. Leighton has been yanked twice during the Stanley Cup finals - during Game 1 and Game 5. Boucher took over at the start of the second period Sunday night with the Flyers down 3-0.

Leighton is 8-2 with a 2.34 goals against average, and had three shutouts in the conference finals. Boucher is 6-6 with a 2.47 GAA.

Round 2 continues with San Jose's Dan Boyle taking on Kari Lehtonen of the Dallas Stars.
