Rangers sign enforcer Boogaard

6'7 enforcer Derek Boogaard has signed a four-year contract worth $1.65 million per year with the New York Rangers.

The 28-year-old spent the last five seasons with the Minnesota Wild, putting up four assists and 105 PIM in 57 games during the 2009-10 campaign.

At 258 pounds, the Saskatoon native brings a huge physical presence to the Blueshirts.

He was selected 202nd overall by the Wild in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
