Flyers sign Powe to one-year, $725,000 contract

The Philadelphia Flyers took care of some housekeeping on Wednesday as they signed restricted free agent Darroll Powe to a one-year contract worth $725,000.

The 25-year old Powe had a career high nine goals and six assists in 63 games with the Flyers last season.  He also skated in 23 playoff games, picking up one assist.

The Saskatoon native has 15 goals and 11 assists in 123 career NHL games, all with Philadelphia.
