The Florida Panthers traded forward Jeff Taffe to the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday in exchange for forward Marty Reasoner.
Reasoner was acquired by Chicago on June 24 as part of the trade that sent Dustin Byfuglien to the Atlanta Thrashers. The 33-year old veteran began his career in St. Louis, and has also played for Edmonton, Boston, and Atlanta. He has 82 goals and 141 assists in 624 career games.
Taffe, 29, played 21 games with the Panthers last season and had one goal and one assist. With Rochester (AHL), he scored 28 goals and 28 assists in 61 games.
It's the fourth time that Taffe has been traded during his career. He was also dealt by the Blues (2001), Coyotes (2005), and Rangers (2006).
