TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed left-winger Chris Durno to a one-year contract.

The six-foot-four 205-pounder had four goals and eight points in 41 games with the Colorado Avalanche last season. He played 43 games with the Avs the previous two seasons.

Durno also played in 17 games with Lake Erie last season, recording 10 goals and 18 points.

The 29-year-old from Toronto has played in 293 career AHL games with the Norfolk Admirals, Milwaukee Admirals, Portland Pirates, San Antonio Rampage and Lake Erie Monsters.

Durno has also played in 147 career ECHL games with the Gwinnett Gladiators.

An undrafted free agent, Durno was originally signed as a free agent by Chicago by the Chicago Blackhawks on Sept. 25, 2006. He was then traded to Anaheim and then Nashville before signing with Colorado on July 3, 2008.
