The Ottawa Senators announced Thursday that the club has re-signed forward Peter Regin to a two-year contract worth $2 million.

Regin, who was scheduled to go to salary arbitration with the team on Friday, will earn $950,000 in the first year and $1.05 million in the second year of the deal.

The 24-year-old played his first full NHL season with the Senators in 2009-10, tallying 13 goals and 29 points in 75 games.

In parts of two NHL seasons (both with the Senators), he has scored 14 goals while adding 17 assists in 86 career games. Regin was Ottawa's third-round pick, 87th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
