The Detroit Red Wings have re-signed restricted free agent forward Darren Helm to a two-year deal worth $1.825 million.
Helm will earn $825,000 this season, and $1 million in 2011-12.
Helm, 23, scored 11 goals and 13 assists in 75 games for Detroit last season, which was his first full campaign in the NHL.
The Winnipeg native was a fifth-round pick of the Red Wings in the 2005 draft. He was part of Detroit's Stanley Cup-winning squad in 2007-08, and has contributed seven goals and three assists in 53 career post-season games.
