Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Tampa Bay Lightning center Vincent Lecavalier had successful surgery on his left knee on Tuesday.
The minor arthroscopic procedure was performed by Lightning orthopedic surgeon Dr. Ira Guttentag at the Florida Medical Clinic. The recovery time is expected to take 3-to-4 weeks, and Lecavalier should be ready for the start of training camp on September 17.
The top overall pick in the 1998 draft, Lecavalier had 24 goals and 46 assists in 82 games last season.
