The log jam on the blue line for the Toronto Maple Leafs just got a little more crowded as the team announced Friday that they had acquired defenceman Matt Lashoff from the Tampa Bay Lightning for forwards Alex Berry and Stefano Giliati.

In 63 career NHL games split between the Lightning and Boston Bruins, the East Greenbush, New York native has one goal and 15 assists. Lashoff was originally the Bruins first pick, 22nd overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
Meanwhile the 24-year old Berry picked up three goals and four assists in 55 games with the Toronto Marlies last season while Giliati split time between the Marlies and the Reading Royals of the ECHL. In 25 games with the Marlies, the 22-year old had three goals and six assists.
