After shedding a great deal of salary all summer, the defending Champion Chicago Blackhawks have added to their payroll by signing forward Ryan Potulny to a one-year, two-way contract.
CapGeek.com is reporting that the 25-year old Potulny will earn $500,000 at the NHL level and $105,000 at the AHL level.
The Grand Forks, North Dakota native had 15 goals and 17 assists in 64 games with the Edmonton Oilers last season. In 116 career games split between the Oilers and Philadelphia Flyers, Potulny has 22 goals and 27 assists.
Potulny was originally selected by the Flyers in the third round, 87th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
