The Philadelphia Flyers will have a slightly different look tonight when they face the Toronto Maple Leafs as forward Scott Hartnell has cut off almost all of his infamous hair.

The haircut is all for a good cause as Hartnell will donate his shorn locks to the charity organization ‘Locks for Love' who are a public non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada under age 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis.

According to Hartnell it is his first hair cut in over three years.

In an interview with FlyersTV.com, Hartnell joked about the equipment used.

"Some hedge clippers, some weed whackers and a shovel to pick it all up afterwards," Hartnell told FlyersTV.

Hartnell's hair has been so popular that it has it's own Facebook page and inspired the team to launch a Hartnell wig give-away campaign two seasons ago.

Hartnell has one goal and one assist in six games this season.
