Mattias Ritola of the Tampa Bay Lightning has been suspended two games for his hit on New York Islanders forward Matt Moulson on Wednesday.

In the second period, Ritola left his feet and hit Moulson from behind along the side boards and the Islanders forward crumpled to the ice. Ritola received a 5-minute charging penalty on the play but was not ejected from the game. Moulson returned to the game and scored a goal later in the same period.

Ritola will miss Thursday's game against the Flyers in Philadelphia and Saturday's game against the Sabres in Buffalo. He is eligible to return November 22 against the Boston Bruins.
