Minnesota Wild forward Guillaume Latendresse will undergo two surgeries on Wednesday and will be out for an extended period of time.
The 23-year-old will undergo hip surgery to repair a torn labrum and will also have a sports hernia repaired.
Recovery time is unknown at the moment but Wild general manager Chuck Fletcher said he expects Latendresse to be back before the end of the season. TSN's Darren Dreger said recovery from his surgeries will be a minimum of three months.
Latendresse had three goals and three assists in eight games with a plus two rating this season for Minnesota.
The Wild claimed forward Patrick O'Sullivan off waivers from Carolina to help make up for the loss of Latendresse.
