Boston Bruins first round pick Tyler Seguin will not be playing for Team Canada in the 2011 World Junior Hockey Championship.
There was speculation that the junior aged player, selected second overall in the 2010 NHL Entry draft, would be made available to Team Canada for the tournament.
Through 25 games played in his rookie season, Seguin has tallied five goals and five assists which places him 13th overall in scoring among first year players.
Seguin was cut from Canada's 2010 silver medal winning World Junior team.
