Jonathan Toews will be back in the lineup for the Chicago Blackhawks when they visit the Los Angeles Kings tonight.
Toews was injured Tuesday night in a loss at St. Louis when he was checked hard into the boards by Matt D'Agostini in the first period. He got up holding his right shoulder and did not return to the game. He was orginally expected to miss two weeks.
"I've got to be thankful; it could've easily been more serious than it was," Toews told Comcast Sportsnet Chicago on Saturday. "I just want to make sure it heals properly right now."
Toews has been practicing with the team since Saturday.
The 22-year-old is Chicago's second-leading scorer with 33 points, including 15 goals.
