St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - The St. Louis Blues placed goaltender Jaroslav Halak on injured reserve with a right hand injury on Thursday.

According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, the 25-year-old was hurt in Wednesday's practice, forcing him to leave the ice early.

Halak is 19-17-6 with four shutouts, a 2.63 goals against average and .907 save percentage in 43 games this season.

To fill the roster spot, the Blues recalled netminder Ben Bishop from Peoria of the American Hockey League.
