25-year-old defenceman Brent Seabrook will be a member of the Chicago Blackhawks for the foreseeable future.

Seabrook agreed to a five-year, $29 million contract with the team on Sunday. The cap hit is $5.8 million per season.

Seabrook has posted four goals and 29 assists in 61 games so far this season.  He was a key member of the Blackhawks Stanley Cup winning club in the 2009-10 season, and he also won a gold medal for Canada at the 2010 Vancouver Games.
